Thank you for giving back!

In a world where millions don’t have enough food on their plates while others become ill from the huge amounts of food they eat, it’s necessary to help those who are less fortunate. And to give a voice to those without.

If you’re reading this, you are privileged and abundant. I am too. Maybe we don’t have billions of dollars in our bank accounts, but our basic needs are met and we have money to have fun with.

We are so very lucky and grateful.

Giving back is one way I can not only help less fortunate souls, but also to show my appreciation to you.

My vision for the world is that of self-reliance where everyone nurtures their body and soul with healing food, clean water, pure air, positive thoughts, compassion, simplicity, non-judgment, acceptance, and equality with kindness towards all sentient beings.

That’s a huge vision, but … it’s possible to achieve.

The United Nations agree.

In 2015, the 193 UN member states created 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to reach by 2030.

From reducing or eliminating poverty, hunger, gender inequality to providing clean water, renewable and affordable energy, decent work and economic growth for all to protecting our environment and all living beings below water and above land.

All 17 goals have very specific targets and much progress has been made since 2015, but let’s be honest, we’re far away from living in utopia. We still have much more work to do. And we can’t do it alone, nor can we rely on our governments to do the work for us.

We, the people, have to work together.

Since health, nutrition and protecting nature and all sentient beings is my soul’s work and healing process for my clients, I’ve designed my giving back strategy for 2021 to contribute to reaching the following Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG #2 = Zero Hunger: “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”

I’ve teamed up with WhyHunger to eliminate hunger because they’re fully committed to find lasting and transformative solutions to the world’s hunger problem. With grassroots initiatives that nourish people and enrich communities. They are not a soup kitchen that provides a quick band aid solution to ‘What’s for dinner?’.

And I also personally know that donations do not pay for the founder’s new yacht. They go right where they need to go: to those who need it. WhyHunger provides an effective sustainable solution! The way it needs to be!

SDG #14 = Life under Water: “Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development”

Ahhh, the Long Island Sound. The beach is my element and the place I go when I need peace and calm. Nature heals. Oh, and how it heals!

I’m not only a Long Islander, I’m a Costa Rican resident and if there’s one thing in common in both of these places, it’s turtles. Yes, I save turtles. Always have and always will. There’s something about these beautiful souls that puts my mind at ease. The way they glide through the water without a care.

Until they run into a huge fighting net. Or fill their bellies with plastic. Our reality is their death. Our oceans are slowly dying and we’re the ones killing it. I go to the beach, clean it up while I show my gratitude and offer my apologies for mankind. We can do better. And we will. We’re trying.

In 2016 I brought a turtle to the Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons and fell in love with their mission and commitment to rehabilitating turtles.

The best thing about this organization is that I know for a fact that donations go where they are needed: To help protect, rescue, rehabilitate, and release turtles.

How do I give back?

Well, first of all, it’s not ME who’s giving back. It’s you because without you, I wouldn’t be able to give anything. My beloved clients and students are the ones to thank.

A total of 5% of my net profits from the Happiness Compass© sales (2.5% per organization) in their honor.

Thank you for your contribution!
